Infatuation

The other day while having a glass of beer inside a karaoke lounge, I saw a middle age lady sitting at an adjacent table drinking milo. I had met her once. She recognised me and I went over to say hello. She invited me to join her at her table. So I had my beer there and our conversation went smoothly. She was a charm to talk to.

"Where is Alvin? I don't see him here." she asked.
"I don't know. May be he is busy and doesn't know you are here." I said.

Alvin is one of my friends. Gossip has it that he is interested and like this lady named Joy.

"I sense that Alvin likes you very much. If he knew you are here, I bet he would be with us now." I teased.
"Oh how sweet. I know someone who is right inside this room now and he likes me, too, but he sure knows how to hide his feeling." she quipped.
"Oh really? I wonder who he is." I replied.

I knew she was talking about me. I pretended not to know and looked around the room  searching for the guy. Somehow I felt like a fool.

Later we drank beer together and sang some of our favourite songs before we hit the road. I really enjoyed being with her. Would my feeling towards her go beyond my infatuation?

My Friend Is A Karaoke Singer

Last night I went with my friends to Superstar Karaoke Lounge in Kuching City. We like singing. Ah Soon is the best male singer among us. He has strong and pleasant voice. The next good singer is another friend of mine, too, nicknamed Specky. I haven't met him for quite sometime and am impressed with his song because he has improved tremendously. I asked about his secret of singing well and he told me a singing teacher had taught him how to sing better. You can watch him singing part of a mandarin song in this video. May be I need to look for a singing teacher, too.

Forever Beautiful

The last time my younger daughter, Janelle, spent her birthday at home was 5 years ago before working in a foreign land. I took the picture above in 2008. Now she is as beautiful as ever. She always come home and visit us for a few days each time during festival days and whenever she is on leave. I hope she can spent her time together with us again during her next birthday.

Clement's Birthday

Happy birthday Clement. My grandson has just turned 5-year-old last month. He is tall for his age but a bit skinny. The above picture was taken during his birthday. At 3-year-old he was more chubby and looked cute. A short video of him making a phone call to his daddy can be viewed here.
